This weeks News

Another fantastic week  was enjoyed by all. On Monday a group of the older children went on

 a visit to Gainsborough House in Sudbury.

We all met at the statue of Thomas Gainsborough in the market place.

We then had a tour of the museum and looked at lots of huge pictures.

 Some were portraits and some were landscapes.

 We then went into the classroom and created our very own masterpieces.

On Wednesday Teddy Bears came to play.

Mums, Dads, Grannie, Grandads Aunt and Uncles joined us for a stay & play session.

The day, which was funded by ECaT, started with a performance by the Barking Dog Theatre Company.

'Teddy goes to the Farm' was enjoyed by all.

Rachel baker, creative playworker, set up some amazing activities for everyone to take part in and enjoy.

The afternoon continued with lots more teddy fun.

To complete a wonderful Wednesday The Team at Acton Playgroup beat off the competition

 and scooped the top prize for 'Team of the year' at the prestigious Suffolk Childcare Awards 2010,

 held at Trinity park, Ipswich on June 23rd.
