Lisa Ford
Lisa has worked in the child care profession for 10 years, first as a childminder then joining Acton Playgroup 6 years ago as an assistant.
Lisa lovers her job and looks forward to going each day and gets great enjoyment out of playing and helping the children learn and develop ... "my passion is making their messy play fun! If I don't go home covered in paint, clay or flour, I know I haven't done my job!".
Lisa has been married for Gerard for 17 years and has a 12 year old daughter Georgina. Lisa and Georgina like water and flour fights.
Lisa has the following qualifications:
- Early Years Foundation Degree Level 4
- Working towards Early Years Foundation Degree Level 5
(1styear pass 2008, second year pass 2009, Third Year pass 2010)
- NVQ3 Qualification in Childcare and Education
- Foundation Certificate in Food and Hygiene
- Safeguarding Children
- Social emotional aspects of development
- First Aid – Basic Life Support consultancy
- Makaton*
- Observation and assessment
*Makaton uses signs and symbols to teach communication, language and literacy skills to people with communication and learning difficulties.
