The children were all able to take part in our Chinese New Year activities and celebrations. We had a whole variety of activities throughout the whole week ranging from painting to chinese dancing. Some of the children took part in tasting many different chinese foods such as rice, noodles and prawn crackers and others were able to create a dragon and take part in the dragon dancing as other peers played the drums.
We created chinese lanterns and made masks for the different animals represented by Chinese New Year. This year it was the Year of the Pig. The children enjoyed retelling the story of the animal race.
