The children who attend the Thursday afternoon session and their parents/carers walked to the church from Playgroup to take part in some Harvest/Autumn activities. When we arrived we sat down and listened to the Rev Caroline talk to us about harvest and that the food we had kindly donated would be given to the people in the village who are not so fortunate as ourselves.
Each child took it in turn to place an item of food onto the Harvest Table as we sang our harvest song.
The children then took part in different activities around the church. The children searched for matching leaves and also created a harvest crown using natural found objects.
We then went outside into the churchyard to look for conkers. There were conkers everywhere and we had to be careful that they didnt fall onto our heads as the wind blew the trees.
