On Tuesday March 5th we celebrated Pancake Day / Mardi Gras. The children were shown how to make pancakes using flour, eggs, milk and a little salt and it was explained to them how we have pancakes to use up the ingredients we may have in the cupboard before giving something up for Lent which starts on Ash Wednesday.
The children enjoyed having a pancake race and also making Mardi Gras ( Fat Tuesday) masks in purple, green and gold.
