During this half term we have been focusing on different occupations and People who help us. Our home corner was set up as a vets where the children accessed the costumes and props to role play at looking after the poorly animals. The children also enjoyed a visit from a real vet who came to talk to us about what her job entails.
The children have also taken an interest in the role of a police officer. We were visited by the local PCSO who brought a selection of hats and uniforms for the children to try on and we also had a look at his van. The children all had a turn at sitting in the van, watching the blue flashing lights and listening to the very loud siren. We also had our fingerprints taken and made into a keyring. The PCSO spoke to the children about how to be safe when out and about ,how the children should hold an adults hand and walk safely on the pavement.
