09/02/2023 - What we are up to...

During the first few weeks of the spring term the children have been very busy. Together the children shared our Chinese New Year celebrations with their parents and carers as we invited them in for a stay and play session. We enjoyed making a chinese dragon and dancing to chinese music before enjoying and tasting some chinese foods. We also looked for the gold coins amongst the cooked spaghetti and tried some chinese writing with the paint and chopsticks.

The children have been listening to some of our favourite stories such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Tiger Who Came to Tea and have been taking part in many different activities linked to the stories such as butterfly dancing and making and pouring tea.

Week beginning Feb 6th we have been promoting the children's well-being and supporting in understanding their mental health. We have been doing pirate yoga, massage and had a visit from the vets to show the importance of caring for animals too. We have also been learning that everyone is different and it's ok to  ' not be ok'
